Featuring a nine-hole golf course with clubhouse, modern campground with bath house and laundry facility, spacious vacation cottages, comfort station, pavilions, grills and a scenic picnic area with tables, Roland Cooper State Park is the perfect place to kick back, relax and enjoy the great outdoors. This 236 acre park rolls alongside the 22,000 acre Dannelly Reservoir, a popular place for fishing, and provides boat launching facilities.

Roland Cooper State Park offers 6 completely furnished two-bedroom cabins. Each cabin includes a stove, refrigerator, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, linens, washcloths, central heat/air and barbeque grills. There are also rollaway beds available for rent. All cabins are smoke free. There is one cabin that is “dog friendly”. Additional fees and rules apply. Pets are not allowed in any other cabin. Cabin cancellation notice is required 72 hours in advance. One night’s advance deposit is required per accommodation.

There are 47 paved campsites that include water, 30 amp electrical and sewer hook ups, grills and picnic tables. Located nearby are showers, bathrooms and a laundromat, as well as trash containers and dumping stations. If you prefer to tent camp, there are 13 primitive sites available.

The beautiful nine-hole, 3,300 yards, par 36 golf course, driving range included, offers all the challenges and hazards of a championship course. Rental clubs, golf carts and pull carts are available.

Roland Cooper State Park includes picnic areas hidden in beautiful woodlands that overlook the lake. These provide great outdoor settings for clubs, church groups, social groups and families. Each pavilion includes tables and fireplaces. There are concrete picnic tables and grills at every picnic site. A lighted playground is located nearby for the kids to enjoy. Pavilions do require reservations.

Known locally as “Millers Ferry”, William Dannelly Reservoir sits in the midst of a stunning pine forest and runs alongside Roland Cooper State Park. Consistently producing bass of three pounds or more, Millers Ferry Reservoir is a regionally important reservoir in southwest Alabama providing excellent fishing opportunities. Some of the best largemouth bass and crappie are found here.
